Let me start by thanking everyone I've talk to in the past 2 1/2 yrs of wholesaling Medical Scrubs here at Alko. You've not only helped me learn about the scrubs in general, but about the time, energy and money it takes to be successful at owning a Scrub Business with little or nothing to start. | 1. Get yourself a Tax ID number and Register a Business Name. I recommend LegelZoom.com | |
2. If you have a store front or just starting out selling
from your home: Know the type of Cliental you want to start
targeting.
If you have any other

3.
Get your business out there: flyers, newsletters, small ads
in local papers, billboards (buy one if you can). Most of your local
hospitals have days set aside for vendors to set up and sell to the
hospital employees (call the hospital(s) and find out what you need. |

4. If you are
new to selling the product and not familiar with retail price,
here's 2 simple tasks: 1. Research the
Internet simply by typing the name of your item into the search
engine (doing this is a start). 2. Ask
your distributor. |

Gift Certificates -
Don't underestimate the power of the GC. Right now, think about
checking into offering these to your customers and really
advertising that you have these. Many people know others entering
the Nursing Field, or have relatives/friends that wear them on the
job or know someone that doesn't have to wear them but feel more
comfortable in them. Holiday's are coming up, do don't underestimate
the sales you will see. Make sure to Promote these at least 5 weeks
before a holiday. (if not all the time) CHECK INTO THIS!! You'll be
glad you did. |
